Not only did John come up with a unique theme for an arcade cabinet, but he also went the extra mile literally "sculpting" custom pieces for his build.
In a move some might say more foolish than bold, RetroBlast frontman Kevin Steele is handing over the keys to the RetroBlast.com website to a bunch of slack-jawed ...
There's something about Thursdays that make cool videos really catch our eyes. Here's an awesomely put together Tron video done entirely using cardboard and stop-motion animation by French film maker Freres Hueon...
CBC Radio's Spark show recently spent some time talking to Peter Hirschberg and friends at his now world famous Luna City Arcade. RetroBlast even gets brief props in there (w00t!).
You can have a listen to the full show's podcast at the Spark webpage.
This episode is all about waxing nostalgia and the rest of the podcast makes for some good listening too.
The crew over at Coin-Op TV ask four of the big coin-op record holders what their favourite games to play are. As a welcome releif, you'll be happy to hear that there's no mention of any Donkeys nor their Kongs in this clip!
Gameroom guru Peter Hirchberg has posted a very insightful questions & answers piece with the deisgner of the original Tron coin-op machine, George Gomez. Reading about the guys behind arcade's golden era is always time well spent...
"I was fooling around with a black light in order to get the cabinet to glow like the guys in the movie. I was leaving work one day and I turned off the lights in my office and I noticed that I had left one of the black lights on and I looked at the grips and they were glowing blue!"

For a limited time, Jason and Melissa are offering up to 40% off on this sign for folks that want to jump on board and get one ordered for their gamerooms.
Or, if you've got pesky teenagers who seem to make a mess of your house, buy one of these and throw it up in the entry way for them to scoff at when they enter your humble abode.
Head on over to Nice Carvings and get yours ordered today!
Taito has issued a press release to remind the business world that gamers still love the old stuff.
