Arcade Games Make a Comeback |

MSN has a great bit up this week about Arcade Games making a comeback because of the 30/40 something generations buying up all the old cabinets like hotcakes and restoring them.
This really is no surprise to those of us who follow the hobby. Much like our fathers and granddads who bought, tinkered with, and restored classic cars, I'd have to say that Arcade Games are very similar to a MOPAR for us. I think this sums it up best: "These old-school games might not have the best graphics," says videogame industry analyst Billy Pidgeon of IDC. "But the game mechanics are sound, and the game play is a lot better than many of today's new titles. That game play lets the players hold on to their youth." Check out the article , and while you're at it, be sure to head over to their community area and join in the discussion on which games you would like to see redone for modern systems .
