Fist Full of Quaters On DVD Jan. 29th Print E-mail
Nick Greeley, Monday, 07 January 2008

KoKDVDPerhaps one of the most defining moments of 2007 in regard to retro gaming came with the release of The King of Kong; A Fistful of Quarters telling the story of Billy Mitchell vs. Steve Weibe and their "epic" battle for high-score king of Donkey Kong.

The movie did the Retro Gaming community a great justice by bringing back into the spotlight a sometimes forgotten era of gaming and identifying the period's importance in the history of video games and where we are today.

On January 29th, you can own your own copy of King Of Kong with prices starting right around $20 via Amazon.com.

If you've not seen the movie, it's definitely worth watching, and certainly will inspire you to run out and find a Donkey Kong machine and try and shoot for that high-score yourself.
