The famed Metal Slug 3 hits Xbox Live today at 9:00 a.m. GMT.

Xboxer.tv is reporting on some of the achievements, which, from the sounds of it are going to be next to impossible to actually get as they are set to "Maximum Pain."

They're also reporting that the game will be multiplayer:

"Co-op multiplayer over Xbox Live will make Metal Slug 3 a must for arcade blaster fans with at least one friend - and a Definite Buy even at a slightly top-heavy 800 Microsoft Cash Units."

I agree, for 800 points, this is definitely worth it if you can hook up for a co-op over the wire.

More info on the achievements:

"With challenges like "Complete any mission without getting any power-up items" doing the game without continuing (actually impossible) and beating levels without dying once, it's going to be one awesome test of gaming powers to get the full 200 points."
