"GameConnect, the premier yearly event for Australia's game development community, is held this year at the Melbourne Convention Centre from November 15 to 17, and includes speakers from Microsoft, Sony, Pandemic and Konami" Of special interest to us Retro-Gamers is this little tid-bit of information: "The Gamerz Bunker stand will be running a Mario Kart competition, and visitors can also sample retro consoles such as the MegaDrive, SNES and N64, or take a trip back in time at the History of Gaming display." So if we've got any Aussie followers out there that live near Melbourne and are planning to attend, we'd love to get a hands-on account of the activities and perhaps a run down of the History of Gaming display.
