Nick Greeley, Friday, 19 October 2007
RetroBlast! Contributor Ed pointed this out via Arcade Renaissance , Nintendo has announced the end of support for everybody's favorite little console, the Nintendo Entertainment System as of October 31, 2007.
I was too poor to own an Atari when it came out and had to go down the street to the neighbors house to play, so for me, the Nintendo was the first console that I personally owned. That year, it was released with Robbie the Robot and all of maybe 10 minutes was spent playing with that darn robot before it sat on the shelf collecting dust because of the confounded difficulty associated with it. Needless to say, we're all in luck, as Nintendo has commited to continuing to release titles for the Wii Virtual Console for NES, SNES and Nintendo 64.
