Portland Lounge - Atari Tournaments |

Curses! Foiled again! In another one of those, "that's my idea!" moments comes a story out of Portland about a couple of 30-something hipster geeks having weekly classic-gaming tournaments at a local lounge.
The story goes on to talk about how classic games hold more challenge over today's more modern games because of things like not being able to pause. "If you pause you die." I like this concept. Somebody needs to start a league that travels around to various bars and nightclubs holding classic gaming tournaments. It just goes to show that even the classics still have a place in our society beyond us collectors who fawn over the hard to find game cartridge or mint condition Atari.
